“I just wanted to say that Vincent was a huge hit with the gang at the weekend and brought the horrible histories to life.  They have not stopped talking about it.  Please can you pass on our thanks again to him as he was an excellent tour guide and true asset to your team”.  Nottingham University

“I just wanted to say what a success our Town Walk was.  The guide was absolutely brilliant and the whole group were kept interested and amused …..despite the cold and damp”.  Jane

Our students and we had a wonderful town walk. We appreciate the guide’s great efforts to show the town with interesting stories.  Hope to visit this beautiful town again.  Foreign Language High School, South Korea

“I am belatedly writing to let you know how much our walking group enjoyed our Stratford walk on Wednesday, June 13.  Our guide was beyond excellent with a wonderful grasp of Stratford & Shakespeare’s history as well as an excellent sense of humour.  Our walkers came from four continents and everyone found the tour fascinating”.  Stephen

“Our family is settled back in Colorado after a fabulous three week vacation through England, Norway, and Italy.  A highlight of our trip was the walking tour of Stratford. It was the perfect way to become familiar with the hometown of the man I have long admired, William Shakespeare.  I loved every minute of your tour — seeing the sites, listening to your stories about Will and his family, learning interesting factoids about Stratford, and imagining what life was like 400 years ago for a great man so ahead of his time.  Thank you for your love of Shakespeare and Stratford” Lorrie Molli, Colorado

We had a 2pm walking tour on New Year’s Eve with the best tour guide we have ever experienced on our trips. She was funny, clear, enormously informative and knew a huge amount about William Shakespeare and life in those days. She had a very pleasant tone in her voice and kept the group nicely together and also positioned us so she would not be in the way to other visitors in Stratford. We were with her for about two hours but we could have easily spend a whole day with her. She definitely is the best business card for your business and we could not have wished for any better representative of your company.  Patrick & Greg, Basingstoke

“Just to say thank you for organising this for our Company.  The evening was very well enjoyed & everyone is a little bit in love with Herbert.  The tour was brilliant, just the right amount of information & the right amount drama!  I had some really good feedback from even the most cynical, it was  excellent.  Well done Herbert & we will of course be recommending this tour!”  Sharon, BBGR
I have to admit that I wasn’t really looking forward to the privately organised group town walk last Saturday evening, because I’m not a great Shakespeare fan; in fact my literary preferences are more of an Austin addict. However, I was completely wrong in my assumption. The tour guides were engaging, passionate, knowledgable and informative from start to finish. They brought to life the dusty old pages of our history books. We all had a fantastic evening and I would highly recommend this great experience; which had  a few ghost stories and magic thrown in too.”

“Just finished our Ghost Walk with Vincent, and wanted to day what a thoroughly enjoyable evening we’ve had.  Vincent was fantastic and wonderfully entertaining.  I enjoyed talking to him in between stops and could have done so for hours.  It’s our first wedding anniversary and is a memory we will keep forever”
Laura & Jethro

“Over the past few years we have recommended Stratford Town Walks to our clients as the best way to gain an appreciation of Stratford.   Every year our clients return with glowing praise highlighting the professionalism of the tour and the guides.  You just seem to get get better every year and is a credit to your organisation.   We operate itineraries across the world and these tours are unbeatable.”  Classic Driving Tours

“On behalf of my family we would like to thank you for a brilliant evening last night. Vincent was so entertaining and even sang my Nan happy birthday which she was delighted about! It was a really memorable evening, one that I’m sure we will be reminiscing about for a while!”  Hollie Hastings

“Thank you so much for last night’s experience! It was 100% amazing.  I have hurt my leg so was in a wheelchair and the guide made me feel very included and welcome.”  Lauren, Stratford upon Avon

“Hi, just wanted to say a big thank you for last nights (Halloween) ghost walk. Despite the awful weather we really enjoyed the tour. The great host made us all chuckle with his one liner jokes and magic tricks. It was well worth the 120 mile trip down here.  Thank you”  Tracy, Rotherham

“On behalf of all at the university I would like to thank our guide for his fantastic walking tour of Stratford yesterday.  Everyone has been singing his praise this morning and his contribution to the day made it a memorable experience that we will long remember.  He was charismatic, funny, informative and correctly targeted the fact that it was ‘behind the scenes’ gossip that would really grab our attention.  Please thank him on our behalf for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, a wonderful time was had by all.  Many thanks again.”  University of Birmingham

“Our guide was the standout guide on the trip. She was fun and full of energy and entertained us not only with her knowledge and ideas but with several little poems and rhymes about Shakespeare and his plays. She also set a good pace and we covered an extraordinary amount of ground – even getting to see Shakespeare’s grave”
Carol, Middlesex

“Just wanted to say “thank you” for a brilliant 1.5 hours Ghost Walk last night. The four of us really enjoyed ourselves. Please pass on our thanks to the guide – he was superb!”  Janet Solomon

“Could you please pass on my thanks and praise to our guide (the one with the Rupert Bear scarf!) for our fantastic town walk yesterday. He was so knowledgeable, but also entertaining, great with the students, witty, friendly, talented (with his list of the Shakespeare plays, medical book name and last, but not least, his card trick!), a great story-teller, very interesting but also great fun! He managed to keep the attention of all my adolescent boys, which is no mean feat, and when our school organises this trip again, we will be requesting his services as our guide again. He was brilliant. Please pass on my comments to him and thanks for all your help in organising this event for me in the first place”   Sally Cassie, English Teacher, Surrey

“I just wanted to say a big thank you.  My colleagues had a wonderful time last night and were very amazed with the guide’s wealth of knowledge and sense of humour.  We all had a thoroughly enjoyable time, and came away all the more knowledgeable.  I would certainly recommend your business for tours of this nature at any time”  Maureen Kelly, Redditch

“Just a small note to say thank you for a very enjoyable experience last night on the ghost walk. The guide was truly entertaining and our walk through the town has left us eager to return to explore more. We all really enjoyed the evening and a big thank you once again”    Angela Graham

“As my fiancee and I were visiting Stratford for Valentine’s, I wanted to plan something different rather than just a meal. On the Stratford tourism website, I came across Stratford Town Walk and their Valentine Magical Cruise. I immediately booked up and was so glad I did. The boat was decorated for the occasion and the crew were welcoming. However the highlight of the whole evening was John who was not only informative on Stratford’s history, including Shakespeare, he was very funny and an excellent magician. Most certainly worth the visit itself to Stratford alone. We will most certainly be visiting again to partake in another cruise and a walk!”  Darkomark, Cardiff

“Our group of 12 turned up to join others on the most miserable grey day, with icy melting snow underfoot and drizzle and mist in the air. But our Town Walk guide, soon eliminated any discomfort with her animated, informed and outstandingly enjoyable talk. The 2+ hours flew by during which we were entertained and educated and no one fell over or got lost! I didn’t want it to end because we learned so much and it was such fun! It’s certainly whetted our appetites to come back and see more of the town and theatres. I’ve been to many cities both here and abroad, and joined walking tours, but this one was the best ever. Thank you so much”  Charlotina, London

“We visited this weekend and I booked us onto Saturday night’s ‘Ghost Cruise’ run by the same company who organises the Town Walks. I was with my husband and young son and we all thoroughly enjoyed the evening. It started with drinks on board the boat and then we set off along the river with ‘The Man in Black’ regailing the party with ghost stories, followed by some mind reading and magic tricks. The boat stopped half way through the evening for people to stretch their legs and refresh their glasses. It was a brilliant evening and as my son was the youngest on board, the crew made sure he was included and entertained”  Jane Farrington, Chester

“We very much enjoyed the Ghost Walk tour and thought it was well presented and definitely gave us a spook even though we could only visit in day hours – which proves the tour guide was that talented! It gave us lots of very interesting ideas for our diploma project!”  Maisie & Rachel, Cleeve School

“We all enjoyed the Ghost Cruise and the beautiful Stratford Town.  The Man in Black was a great entertainer and really made the trip special.  Its a nice gesture from you to email photographs from the cruise.  Thanks for showing us a great time and good luck with future excursions.”  P. Bal, UK

“Excellent Town Walk tour on Wednesday 23 March. Friendly, informative and helpful, all in spades. We were sorry that we were the only members of the party, but selfishly pleased for ourselves! See you again next time”  Nigel and Gwynne Grant, Kent.

“We were on the Ghost Walk on Monday evening and just wished to say it was brilliant.  We really enjoyed the evening and would definitely recommend it to anyone.  Many thanks for the extra effort that was taken as it was Gary’s Birthday.  Magical!!  Thanks again”  Maxine, Derbyshire.

“Joining the Town Walk was the best £10 we spent in England!” Rebecca, USA

“Our members said they had a great time, a very enjoyable Town Walk.  The guide was knowledgable, helpful and extremely interesting.”  President of the Catenian Association, Kent

“We have read and heard about Stratford and Shakespeare for years and taking the Stratford Town Walk was the highlight of our trip.  It was like walking through the pages of a history book!”  Betsy & Derek Wolf, California, USA

“The individual comments from voters showed that there is a tremendously high level of customer care and attention to detail connected with Stratford Town Walk”  Dave Long, Manager Coventry Inspires CV One (Godiva Awards)

“Our guide was excellent.  No-one should visit Stratford without going on the Stratford Town Walk.  Great value for money”.  Barbara Wheeler

“My friend and I were in Stratford just for the weekend and picked up your Town Walk leaflet at our guest house.  We joined the 2pm walk and were transported to another time.  The guide was ‘magic’.  She was smart, lively and so so knowledgeable.  How she remembered all that information without faltering was quite amazing.  Thoroughly enjoyable, thank you so much.  We really enjoyed our short stay and will be back soon”.  Sue.  Newport, Wales.

“Please thank your guides for the way they handled the Stratford Sister Cities walk.  With over 130 people it much have been one of your biggest events.  They all enjoyed it very much indeed.  The personal touches, including the jokes by your guides added a lot to it.  I am very satisfied with the result”.  Dr G Lees, Sister Cities, Stratford upon Avon.

“Do not visit Stratford without taking part in Stratford Town Walk!  This is not just an opportunity to be ‘taught’ about the town and surrounding area but also more importantly gives one the opportunity to interact personally with the guide, who was extremely experienced and knowledgeable about a subject she clearly loves and has spent much time researching.  Questions were very much welcomed.  You may think you know all there is to know about Shakespeare Country … but you’ll be surprised”.  Morris Moss
